Our mission
Across Africa, elite talent is discovered by chance: a scout happening to see a player at the right moment, a parent knowing the right person, a coach with the right connections. SportConnect Talent replaces chance with infrastructure. Verified profiles. Trusted data. Safe pathways. So talent rises on merit, not proximity.
Our story
Our founders saw elite African talent lost: not for lack of skill, but for lack of visibility. No reliable way for scouts to find rural athletes, no safe channel for clubs to reach young talent without exploitative middlemen.
Months of fieldwork across three DRC provinces. Interviews with coaches, athletes, parents, federation officials, and scouts. The core insight: trust and safety had to be the foundation, not an afterthought.
SportConnect Talent MVP launched in Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, and Goma. 1,200+ athletes onboarded. 200+ verified coaches. Partnered with provincial sport offices and local federations.
Deepening multi-sport coverage. Launching the marketplace, tournament management, and live scouting tools. Growing the federation partner network across Central Africa.
What we stand for
Every scout is identity-verified. Every interaction is logged. Children are protected by default: parental consent is mandatory for under-18 athletes.
Stats flow from verified fixtures, not self-reports. Trust tiers signal how much independent verification backs each profile.
Local coaches, federation partners, and provincial sport offices are the backbone. We amplify the grassroots: we do not replace it.
Talent exists everywhere. Infrastructure does not. SportConnect Talent bridges that gap, connecting athletes in remote provinces to opportunities they would never otherwise reach.
Platform coverage
Each sport has dedicated athlete profiles, position taxonomies, verified stat categories, and sport-specific scouting criteria.
The pilot
The DRC is home to some of Africa's most gifted athletes and some of its most underserved sports infrastructure. Our pilot spans Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, and Goma, working directly with provincial sport offices, local federations, and grassroots clubs to build the trust layer that makes discovery safe and fair.
